Don’t Fall Short Because of a Logo

Tips for a great logo design

Your logo is the first thing that your customers will see when encountering your brand (other than your products themselves).  It should be a give a great impression of your brand’s personality and style. In the way that an autograph represents a person, your logo is a representation of your business.

Here are just 3 different directions that you can go with your logo layout:

  1. Just Text - a text that MOST people can read that is represented in a font (or even hand lettered) that stands out and represents your business.

  2. An Image and Text - An impactful image (icon, drawing etc) placed with the name of your business can be a great choice as well.  The image will start to be associated with the business name.

  3. Just the Image/Icon/Drawing - This is tricky if you haven’t established yourself in the market. If you have a logo with the text, this can be a great logo variation to ADD as a submark. It can be used as a social media icon or on business cards and more.

It’s important that your logo can be read at different sizes.  It will possibly be displayed on a business card, social media icon and maybe even a store front display.  Use text that can be read easily even when it’s small and the letters appear closer together. (If you are using a script font, make sure it can STILL BE READ).  It may look great, but if someone cannot read your business name - why bother.
